TEDxHuntsville
The first major TEDxHuntsville, an independently organized 350 person TEDx event taking place November 7th at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. TED is an annual event where some of the worlds leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. "TED" stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design and convenes under the tagline "Ideas worth spreading".
TEDxHuntsville is themed Perspectives on Innovation and will display ideas underlying the phenomenal array of human accomplishment. How we approach the world determines what we make of it. If we look at obstacles, such as war or space travel, as an opportunity to create a solution, we expand not only our own minds but the starting point of future endeavors. It is basically a great ideas summit, emphasizing how perspectives underlies our capacity for productive creativity, right here in Huntsville.
We have forged partnerships with many organizations and individuals in Huntsville, ranging from the Chamber of Commerce to HudsonAlpha. Our target audience includes successful entrepreneurs, scientists, policymakers, creatives, and key economic figures in the Huntsville and North Alabama area.
Huntsville joins cities ranging from London, Tokyo, Berlin and Copenhagen to New York, San Francisco and Sydney in becoming a TEDx city.
